How much does FREE really cost?

You may know that one of the recommended ways to make money on the internet is to give things away.
Strange as it might sound to a beginner, it does work. For one thing you can collect a name and email in exchange for the freebie and you can also offer an upsell after the visitor clicks on your download link.
But what does it cost that visitor to get something for free? In some cases it will cost only a little time – they end up reading a few emails from the autoresponder series that most marketers will send out.
In other cases it might cost them hard cash.

BlogRush Rushed to Market Too Soon?

I’ve just found out that the BlogRush service, from John Reese, has been closed down.
Doesn’t surprise me, really. When it was launched it promised a great deal, but the experience of so many people who used it was nowhere near that early promise. A lot of people were very annoyed about it, in fact.
From my experience I simply removed the BlogRush widget quite early on. It didn’t do much for me, but I hoped it would improve enough to be worth a second visit.
